Erikshjälpen relocates to Wihlborgs property in Västerbro, Lund

The non-profit organization Erikshjälpen Second Hand is relocating to the property Länsmannen 1 in the development area Västerbro in Lund. The new location will house the shop, donation drop-off, café, warehouse, and offices all under one roof – a setup that creates job opportunities for many. The move is planned for early 2026, with a strong emphasis on reusing furniture and materials from both the current and new premises.

The operations in the building will engage a large number of people through employment, internships, and voluntary work.

Since the building is scheduled for future demolition under the new zoning plan for Västerbro, this is a temporary but meaningful establishment that will bring life to the area while awaiting further development.

The agreement is subject to a temporary building permit.

"We are very happy to have found this solution together with Wihlborgs. It feels valuable to remain in an area where we are already established and well-known by both customers and donors," says Johan Svennberg, Head of Expansion, says Johan Svennberg, Head of Expansion at Erikshjälpen Second Hand.

We are delighted to have found a good solution for Erikshjälpen, which runs an important operation in Lund. It's positive for both Västerbro and Lund as a whole that a building that might otherwise have stood empty will now come to life and bring activity to the area, says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
