ESG reporting
Transparent ESG reporting makes it easier for investors and other stakeholders to follow Wihlborgs’ sustainability work and make well-informed decisions. We report both progress and challenges, as well as the share of our operations that meets the EU Taxonomy criteria. In 2025, 42 percent of turnover was environmentally sustainable, and during the year we received several external recognitions for our sustainability work:
- Five out of five stars in GRESB
- Global Sector Leader in the category of diversified listed property companies in Europe, office/industrial
- An A- rating from CDP for our climate work
- Inclusion in the Financial Times and Statista ranking Europe’s Climate Leaders for the fifth consecutive year
- Named by Time magazine and Statista as one of the world’s leading companies in sustainable growth
Sustainability certifications
In Sweden, we certify all new-build projects in accordance with Miljöbyggnad, typically at Gold level. In several projects, we have raised our ambitions further through certifications focused on health and well-being (WELL) and climate neutrality (NollCO2). Kvartetten, Vista and Space are examples of projects that have achieved triple certification.
WELL certification provides a framework for developing buildings that promote health, comfort and well-being. It also provides a clear basis for dialogue with tenants on factors such as light, sound, air quality and opportunities for physical activity. As part of this work, we have produced short films with tips on health-promoting measures for office workers. The content is based on knowledge from researchers and experts in each respective field.
At year end, 49 percent of Wihlborgs’ total floor space was certified. In the Swedish office portfolio, 94 percent of the floor space was certified, meaning that the target of 90 percent by 2025 has already been achieved.

Financing
Wihlborgs finances its operations through equity, loans from Nordic banks and Danish mortgage institutions as well as through bonds. To minimise dependence on the bond market in times of uncertainty, we prioritise long-term, stable funding sources, with a high share of bilateral bank loans and a low share of bond financing.
Wihlborgs has a total of four sustainability-linked loans, corre sponding to 33 percent of total borrowings, where the financial cost is linked to three ESG-related KPIs that directly support reduced climate impact. In addition to these, Wihlborgs has a further 21 percent in the form of green loans. Accordingly, the total share amounts to 54 percent.
