Wihlborgs signs lease with the Swedish Defence Recruitment Agency
The premises will be redesigned to meet the needs of the Agency’s selection testing activities, which will conduct a variety of tests on several hundred applicants each week. On 1 December this year, the premises will be ready for occupation and the Agency will start operations in January 2018.
The Swedish Defence Recruitment Agency is tasked with calling up, evaluating and registering individuals subject to conscription in accordance with the decision taken by the Swedish Parliament earlier this year. The Agency also evaluates volunteers to the Swedish Armed Forces’ basic military training and all Police Academy applicants. Other agencies served include the Swedish Defence University, the Swedish Coast Guard and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. The Swedish Defence Recruitment Agency is based in Karlstad and has departments for selection tests in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Kristianstad. From 2018, selection testing will be carried out in Stockholm and Malmö.
