The Wihlborgs spirit helps us grow together

At Wihlborgs, committed employees are an important part of our success. Through knowledge, drive and a strong sense of community, we create high quality for our customers and a workplace where people thrive and develop. In the 2025 Great Place to Work survey, Wihlborgs achieved a Trust Index score of 90 percent, and 96 percent of employees consider Wihlborgs a very good place to work. During the year, we were also named one of Europe’s best workplaces for the first time.

For us, an inclusive workplace is a natural part of long-term development. We believe in the strength of diverse perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, and actively promote gender equality, skills-based recruitment and opportunities for new talent through internships and degree projects. With employees of different ages and an even gender balance among managers, Group Management and the Board of Directors, we are proud to rank highly on Allbright’s Green List of Sweden’s most gender-equal listed companies.

Our work to strengthen our corporate culture is a long-term commitment to creating a workplace where people thrive and feel proud. To me, that is at the heart of it – achieving this together as a team through the small and large things we do every day, both in our work and for one another.

4 perspectives on social sustainability

Well-being and lifestyle

During the working day, factors such as a comfortable acoustic environment, good lighting and access to greenery have a significant impact on our well-being. The same applies to opportunities to commute by public transport, bicycle or on foot, as well as access to nearby services.

Work environment and working conditions

The physical, social and organisational work environment is important to us, and we want our contractors and partners to provide good working conditions. We set high standards, while also helping them to meet these requirements.

Safety and community

We work to ensure that people feel safe and secure in and around our properties around the clock. We also put considerable thought into creating the right mix of businesses and accessible spaces for meeting and community.

Participation and development

When the Öresund region thrives, so do we. We support initiatives with our time, expertise and financial resources to empower people to become self-reliant, move forward and reach their full potential – ultimately contributing to growth, innovation and development.

Long-term and close customer relationships

Long-term and close customer relationships are essential to us at Wihlborgs. Through our in-house property management across all regions, we maintain close contact with our tenants and can quickly identify needs, feedback and opportunities for development.

Every year, we measure customer satisfaction in Sweden and Denmark. The results show strong relationships, with high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty in both markets.

  • Sweden (CSI 2025): Customer satisfaction 79 percent, loyalty score 82 percent.
  • Denmark: Ongoing surveys show 89 percent customer satisfaction and an 86 percent willingness to recommend. Among new tenants, customer satisfaction is 77 percent and willingness to recommend is 74 percent.

Workers in the value chain

We work with suppliers who share our ambitions for sustainability and social responsibility.

For suppliers

Systematic supplier assessment

To contribute to responsible working conditions throughout the value chain, we systematically evaluate our suppliers and follow up to ensure that our requirements are met across the supply chain. Our strategic suppliers are assessed through an ESG evaluation in which they report on their work relating to business ethics, the work environment, human rights, safety and environmental impact.

As a complement, we carry out enhanced workplace inspections in our projects. The inspections are performed by external parties and cover areas including identification, protective equipment, work environment plans and the handling of hazardous waste. This work helps us identify risks, maintain an open dialogue and contribute to fair working conditions, healthy competition and a more sustainable industry.

Commitment to the region and its community

Wihlborgs is highly committed to the Öresund region. We strive to promote a thriving business community, a pleasant everyday life for our tenants, urban growth and long-term development of the entire region. We want to contribute to the region’s ability to attract investments, talent, infrastructure and labour.

Inclusive cities, vibrant urban environments and strong conditions for business are important parts of sustainable societal development. That is why we engage in initiatives that give more people the opportunity to grow, participate and contribute.

At least 70 percent of our community investments are to be directed towards initiatives that support regional development and strengthen local associations and the business community.

A good start in life

For young people, particularly in socially disadvantaged areas, completing school, having meaningful and healthy leisure time, having access to role models and living in a safe environment are key to taking a step toward an independent life.

The courage to grow

The Öresund Region should be an attractive place for young people, encouraging them to develop, dare to become entrepreneurs and realise their dreams.

Growth potential

Local and regional networks for knowledge exchange, innovation and inspiration are central to creating a beneficial climate of innovation, growth and competitiveness in the region.
