In the first phase of the Knutpunkten redevelopment, we created 7,700 square metres of new, environmentally certified office space above the existing building. We also renovated the existing office spaces. In the second phase of the Knutpunkten redevelopment, we are giving the property a facelift, including a new facade and more new, modern office spaces.
A new identity
We are extending Knutpunkten where it faces Kungstorget, and dressing the building with a new glass facade of a modern, inviting design that will act as an open window onto the city — a diagonal facade structure comprised of thin steel profiles and glass that will reflect the historic and the modern station architecture.
New space for job satisfaction
The extension toward Kungstorget provides room for around 3,000 square metres of new office space for companies that value having prime transportation links, in the centre of the city. The new offices offer bright and spacious premises with a fantastic view of the city centre and Öresund. The floor offers a generous, open and varied architecture that can be adapted to meet the needs and work methods of different companies. The new glass facade frames the new offices in an exciting, modern look.
Modern transportation hub
The refurbishment of the station building is continuing with the aim of creating a safer, more modern and more comfortable environment for the tens of thousands of people who stream through Knutpunkten on a daily basis.
A new living room
At the centre of the building, on the floor dividing the workplaces from the station, we are creating a new living room for Helsingborg. A new food destination unites the various functions and adds value for everyone — both day and night. This space will accommodate a broad range of food experiences and settings that attract everything from spontaneous visits and business lunches, to friends enjoying an evening over good food.
A new city rendezvous
Kungstorget in front of Knutpunkten will also be refurbished to create the right interplay between the building’s facade and the river. We will create a more pleasant and safer environment for visitors with new bicycle parking, entrances and exits, and a new taxi zone — all of which will be combined with greenery to create a pleasant and vibrant setting. Space for cafés or kiosks will also help create an inviting city rendezvous open to all.
